nu‧mis‧ma‧tist, n. /nuˈmɪzmətɪst/

From “mismatist,” a studier and collector of various items used in barter systems, such as fishhooks, seashells, chickens, and concrete blocks. When barter was superseded by a system involving minted coins, the mismatic world went through a paradigm shift. The old guard was summarily executed and replaced by the neomismatists – or new mismatists.
