Interesting is better than true.

can‧ta‧loupe, n. /ˈkæn.tə.loʊp/

An attempt by the Anglosphere to come up with the most ridiculous fruit name imaginable. Lost by unanimous vote to the French entry, pamplemousse. (At the time, France’s 9th straight victory. With that streak now at 22, it has little chance of being recognized as an official Winter Olympic event.)
